How Does Dropping Members from an Alliance Affect Score?

Postby GeorgeMcGinn » Sun Sep 03, 2017 6:00 pm

Say an alliance decides to drop all members who are less than 100K personal score.

There are for this example, 40 members, 20 who have scores of 75K or less.

Say our Alliance score (not realistic I know, but for illustrative purposes) is 200,000.

1. Does the number of members dropped affect its new score and how?

Is there a way to calculate what the new score will be.

And should an Alliance be careful in how many they drop?

And if they are in 1st, 2nd or 3rd place, is this wise?

Is there a way to slowly drop members that do not have such a drastic effect on the Alliance's score.

Thanks,

Alliance score is determined by the sum of all members personal score (PS) divided by 100.

For example, you have 5 members who each have a PS of 4 million, your alliance score is 200,000.

4,000,000 (PS) x 5 (members) = 20,000,000

20,000,000 / 100 = 200,000 (alliance score)

Here are some in game screenshots for an example:

Now, in terms of value of alliance score and leaderboard ranking for the alliance: quite simple its all about bragging rights. There is no in-game bonus for higher alliance score or leaderboard rank. Nor is there any bonus given to players in an alliance that hold a rank other than commander, other than who is able to access and post to alliance boards, and who is able to accept, deny or kick members.

A bonus to having more members is, there are more members to contribute to the alliance station, and speed up alliance techs. While putting PS requirements for your alliance is good, in my opinion, having active, growing members who contribute on a daily basis are more valuable than higher PS memebers who don't contribute.
